Environmental Consulting in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest
Under a USEPA Emergency Response Action, Rescon Alaska and their teaming partner Ahtna Engineering were contracted to mitigate the intrusion of subsurface PCE vapors into four residences in Anchorage, Alaska. Rescon designed and installed combination sub-slab depressurization, sub-membrane depressurization, and passive ventilation in the crawl spaces and basements of the four homes. Retro-Coat by Land Science Technologies was applied to the floor and foundation walls in one of the homes as a retroactive vapor barrier. The project was successfully completed within budget under an expedited time schedule. More than a 95% reduction of Indoor air contaminants was achieved bringing all four homes well below the ADEC residential indoor air target levels for PCE.
