Nathan (Nate) Oberlee

Environmental Engineer - Rescon Principal

Nate has over 15 years of experience as Project Manager / Engineer on USACE, USAF, USEPA, FAA, BLM and private contracts across Alaska.  Nate has significant experience performing emergency response support to both government and private clients for spills and natural disaster relief.  His experience includes logistics planning, environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, remedial investigations, emergency response, waste management and remedial system design/construction. Nate founded Rescon nearly a decade ago to make real a vision of creating a workplace where good people work together to provide high quality service to their clients, and have fun doing it. Nate loves to recharge by escaping with his family to a cabin the woods.

Zack Kirk

Senior Environmental Scientist- Rescon Principal

Zack Kirk is a Senior Environmental Scientist providing project management and technical support for Rescon efforts from the North Slope of Alaska to the Pacific Northwest. Zack has over 10 years of experience conducting fieldwork and remediation efforts on DOD and industrial sites in remote locations from Adak to Barrow. His diverse expertise includes Environmental Site Assessments, risk assessments, feasibility studies, impaired water body assessments, fishery baseline assessments, vapor intrusion mitigation, storm and wastewater discharge permitting, ERPIMS data submissions and monitoring wastewater treatment programs. Zack enjoys driving vehicles of questionable reliability and off the grid adventures with his family.

Claire Costello

Professional Geologist

Claire has 17 years of environmental consulting experience in Alaska, including experience managing projects and work teams, with ease and professionalism. Claire is a motivated, efficient, and personable individual with a talent for quickly adapting to changing environments. Claire’s project experience includes contaminated site assessment and remediation, environmental permitting, and providing environmental waste compliance solutions to Oil and Gas industry clients.

Kynan Adams

Environmental Scientist

Kynan has 10 years of experience in the field of land and resource management.  He has worked with the United States Department of Agriculture as a Forestry Technician with the U.S. Forest Service, worked as a deckhand in the commercial fishing industry, and has extensive experience working on construction projects and contaminated sites at remote locations throughout Alaska. Kynan has been involved in projects ranging from petroleum exploration drill-site remediation, to site characterization, and long-term environmental monitoring projects. Kynan loves powder days and fresh salmon filets.

Jeremy Miner
Project Manager

Jeremy is a Project Manager providing project field management, logistics coordination, technical expertise, and health & safety (H&S) oversight for environmental, geologic, geophysical, and remote construction projects. Jeremy has worked on DOD, NPS, BLM, FAA, NSF, AK Native Corporations, Oil & Gas, and other industrial sites. Jeremy has experience in all phases of contaminated sites work from initial Site Investigation, Remedial Actions, through site closure. Jeremy also has technical expertise with geophysical field methods and remote instrumentation for geologic/geophysical research projects. Jeremy's field experience includes projects in remote Alaska, Contiguous U.S., Canada, Greenland, Antarctica, and Iceland.  Jeremy likes to tackle projects that are technically and logistically complex and provide solutions that bring them to successful completion. When not supporting remote projects, Jeremy is happiest with his family in the wild...trying to keep up with his wife and sons.

Brynne Leety

Project Manager Assistant &

Environmental Field Technician

Brynne as a lifelong Alaskan and excited about her role in keeping Alaska’s gorgeous environment clean as a Rescon Project Manager Assistant and Environmental Field Technician. She loves to explore the outdoors, as well as paint, read, and of course cuddle with her amazing cats.

Ryan Burich
Professional Geologist

Ryan has 13 years of experience in the environmental field working with clients ranging from state and federal projects to major industry and private-sector organizations throughout Alaska. Ryan specializes in all phases of the remediation of contaminated sites, including site assessments, excavation and waste-management oversight, soil screening and sampling techniques, reclamation methods, work plan and final report development. Ryan enjoys his morning smoothies and extended kayaking trips in Prince William Sound.

Nathan Bosch

Environmental Scientist

Nathan has spent the past decade performing environmental work all across Alaska.  He has worked for clients ranging from small Alaskan Villages, to major mining and petroleum corporations, and the United States Military.  He loves the variety of work he gets to do for Rescon, and enjoys the healthy balance of computer time in the office and traveling to far reaches of the state in small aircraft.  He enjoys spending his free time camping or skiing with his family and riding his bike in cold temperatures.

Moana Leirer

Senior Environmental Scientist

Moana has 15 years of environmental consulting and regulatory compliance experience in Alaska. She has worked on projects all over the state for the USAF, USACE, ADEC and the oil and gas industry. Her experience includes management of long-term groundwater monitoring programs for CERCLA regulated sites, contaminated site investigation and excavation, emergency response and hazardous waste management. She enjoys the versatility that environmental consulting brings and is always ready for a challenge and to learn new things. Travel is her favorite activity and when not working for Rescon, she is searching the far reaches of the globe.

Shelly Leety

Office Manager

Shelly Leety has over 15 years of administrative experience specifically in the environmental industry. She does everything from managing day to day business operations to tech editing reports. Shelly enjoys traveling and spending time with family on Prince William Sound chasing fish.
