Spill and Emergency Response

Rescon has managed and performed spill response efforts and investigations throughout Alaska and possesses the ability to provide rapid response actions when required.  Rescon utilizes an adaptive project approach that provides schedule flexibility in order to quickly and cost-effectively respond when needed.  This ability has allowed Rescon to perform many complex site investigations, spill site delineations, contaminant removals, remediation activities, and site restorations for our clients in a timely manner.  Our staff consists of engineers, scientists, geologists, and equipment operators, which strengthens our ability to perform the various tasks required during a standard spill response.  Rescon has performed spill response and contaminant removals at a wide range of sites including oil and gas, hazardous waste, and munitions sites. Cleanup and removal actions have included removal of illegally disposed wastes, recovery and disposition of drums and other containers, and contaminated soil removals/remediation (including excavation and in-situ/ex-situ treatment). Additionally, Rescon staff members proudly provided support for disaster relief operations following the 2017 Northern California Wildfires that destroyed over 8,000 structures and forced the evacuation of over 90,000 residents.  Disaster relief activities performed included assessment and collection of household hazardous wastes at several properties.
