Rescon Alaska partnered with Iliaska Environmental in 2013 - 2017 to perform long term monitoring at a former Air Force Radio Relay Station located on Big Mountain in Western Alaska. Several contaminated source areas exist at the remote installation. The field teams performed environmental sampling of the groundwater, surface water, and sediment at several sites at the installation. In addition, integrity inspections were performed at two capped solid waste landfills at the station. The monitoring and inspection efforts were used to verify the continued attenuation of contaminants in the impacted source areas as well as monitoring site conditions to prevent any releases in the future.
